Do you provide laundry services in my area?

We provide an on-demand laundry service to customers in and around Tavistock, Yelverton and Plymouth. More specifically, we cover all locations within the postcodes PL1 to PL7 and PL16 to PL20. If you’re on the border or not sure, please send us an enquiry to hello@thelaundrycupboard.com.

How do I place an order?

Booking your collection and delivery slots couldn’t be easier. You can place an order with us online at http://thelaundrycupboard.com/order/

How should I prepare my first order?

Preparing for your first laundry collection is easy with The Laundry Cupboard. One of our dedicated team members will arrive at your chosen location to collect your laundry. You can either use your own laundry bag and we will tag it with your name, or you can add one to your order and we will bring one to the collection for you. Your clean laundry will be returned in the same bag so that you can keep using that one for future orders.

Is there a minimum order?

In order to place a collection with The Laundry Cupboard, you have to meet the minimum order value of £15. If your order doesn’t meet the minimum order value, we can still accept it but you will be charged the minimum price.

How soon do I get my clean laundry back?

Our booking form gives you the freedom to choose a day and time that suits you for delivery. We are proud to provide a speedy laundry service and in most cases we aim to return your clean laundry within 48 hours. However, we can provide an express service and return next day if required.

I made a mistake and want to cancel my order. How do I do this?

Don’t worry, all orders can be cancelled quickly and efficiently by sending us an email at hello@thelaundrycupboard.com. Cancellation is free 4 hours or more prior to your pick up time. Orders which are cancelled with less than 4 hours notice will incur a £5 charge.

Can I use your service if I’m away from home?

No problem! If you are staying at a hotel that is in our catchment area, we will happily collect and deliver your laundry from a hotel of your choice. In order to do this, you will need to add the chosen address to your account and inform our drivers in the notes.

How can I pay?

Paying for your order is quick and easy. Your invoice will be emailed to you for payment by BACS prior to delivery, or you can pay by card when your driver delivers your laundry.

How do I open a trade account?

If you are likely to require a minimum of 4 collections per month, you can open a trade account to access discounted prices and benefit from a monthly invoicing procedure with 30 days credit. Just email us at hello@thelaundrycupbaord.com and we’ll take you through the process. Please note that should you book fewer than 4 collections in a month, your prices will revert to the domestic pricing for that particular month.

What if my collection and delivery addresses are different?

That’s absolutely fine, as long as both addresses are within our catchment area. Just enter your collection address in the ‘Address’ section of our booking form but place your delivery address in the notes section. We will confirm the details by email once submitted.

Should I weigh my clothes before collection?

Not at all, our team of laundry specialists will weigh in your order on arrival at the facility or if you prefer, we can also weight it at your door, if you request this online 48 hours in advance. Once that has been done, we’ll update your order with the weight.

What about kid’s clothing. Is this priced differently?

Our laundry services are priced depending on weight rather than size so we don’t offer a separate pricing system for children’s garments.
